It’s hard to imagine that 33 parties actually fielded candidates. The lowest vote total was 600+ and the largest, Kadima, with a shade over 758,000. Twelve parties actually surpassed the 2% threshold to earn seats. Now the negotiations begin to see who will be able to build a coalition with 61 seats, a majority of the 120 seat Knesset. When all is said and done, one never knows which of the positions that motivated you to support your candidate will be given away in trying to piece together what will be a tenuous coalition in any case. Oy! This does not seem any way to govern a country.
